Fifteen Months...

Today I went for my 15 month well check.

Here are my stats:
Weight: 20lbs exactly (10%)
Length: 30 1/4 inches (40%)
Head: 43 1/2 cm (3%)
(I've gained 1 lb 10 oz in the past month!)

For fun, click here if you're like to compare to Big Brother T Rex's stats at the same age.

Everything checked out great but I was advised to stop eating sushi (a favorite food of mine) and limit my tuna intake to once a week (another favorite food). I am still drinking breast milk as my milk source. Actually, I have a new found interest in it. The other day at a birthday party a mom was feeding her 6 week old and I went over and asked for a snack! I actually can eat more than my brother and there is not a food that I won't eat. Bring on the broccoli and beans!

Mom and Nurse Practitioner NM also chatted about car seats and the new AAP recommendations for rear facing until age 2. I am actually just barely big enough to technically qualify for forwad facing based on the old guidelines but with these newer ones I'll be staying rear facing for another year. I don't mind. I think I would probably be really unhappy if I had a taste of forward facing but now I just wave at the cars and people in them from my seat.

Peek-a-boo is still a fun game as you can see from the photos below.

I still continue to impress with my vocabulary. Now I'm starting to put some small sentences together...

"Thank you, Mommy."
"All done."
"I did it."

Plus, a few new words and animal sounds:
Duck
Meow-ie
Baa

I have 12 teeth, 6 of which I cut in the past few weeks. Yes, some are molars.

I do enjoy books especially while having potty breaks. And I am beginning to really enjoy library time each week. Mom and Dad are certain I will want to take dance lessons since I spin, twirl, and shake anytime I hear music.

I did get one vaccine today. Mom asked to postpone the Hep A for another month to spread out the vaccines in case of a reaction. Today I just had the TDaP.

There's the update. It's such a blessing to be healthy and happy.

  2. I am IMPRESSED with the sentences! You're going to have a talker on your hands!!

Isaac has his 15 month appointment in a few weeks, but at his 1 year appointment he was 3.5 inches taller and 8 pounds heavier! HAHA!

Mom, Dad, and Big Brother read comments to me but please remember not to use our real names. I love getting comments - thank you so much!
