Pushing my new Coupe Cart, the main item I asked Santa for. I was most delighted. I am also standing by the left over cookie crumbs on Santa's plate. I was most happy to finish those off in the morning.
Opening my stocking. It took me quite a long time to get through gift opening as I was happy to just open one thing and play with it. Brother was kind enough to help open things for me. Then I would put them in my Coupe Cart.
One of the new trains I found in my stocking - I'm into trains as much or more than Brother. This is either Dash or Bash.
Delighted with my new dinosaur. I may be wearing my "Bell" (Tinkerbell) jammies, but I LOVE trains and dinosaurs.
Showing Dada my new panda from Mama's friend in AZ.
I insisted on taking Brother's new scoot for a drive. Dada had to help me out as I'm way too small but it was so much fun.
Here's a video Mom took of me on Christmas evening. It's a good example of some of the things I am saying and doing. I'm pretty busy and sitting still for an interview is not my idea of fun but at least you can get the gist of things. (Not too much interesting after 1:30 minutes.)
Mom says I look like a little elf in these photos. You should have seen what I looked like once I put on my red sparkly shoes - no photos of that...yet.
I'm quite proud of my meow coat - you cannot see the meow in the photo but I do enjoy wearing it. Brother used to have the exact same coat except in blue with a horse on it.
In the last week I have become proficient at getting out of my crib. Mom and Dad set up my room so it is no longer a play room but rather a quiet place for me to rest. I took my first nap in there today. It took about 45 minutes to get me to fall asleep but I did. My bed is just my crib mattress with my favorite blankets. However, I did insist on having a pillow - this is my first pillow.
I insisted Dada sit with me while I posed in my Thanksgiving dress. I was also very insistent I not wear the matching belt and bonnet. I hid the bonnet where Mom has yet to find it.
One of the best parts of a big family gathering is having lots of people to play with me. I enjoyed showing Auntie Pam my doll house and rough-housing with cousin Dede.
The whipped cream beater is always a favorite holiday treat.
I've become quite the proficient climber - I can get out of my crib and over the stairs' barrier. It really scares Mom and Dad but makes Brother and me giggle.
In fact, it's going great. I have gotten used to my port-a-potty seat and outings are no big deal now.
Here I am in my "undies"...
When I'm wearing them, my pants have a tendency to fall off. That's how Mom captured this photo.
(The last three postings are old ones from the past few months - Mom just forgot to publish. This one is at least a month old too as I've been potty trained for a while now.)
I'll stop to talk on the phone any time, even during meal time.
When I'm on the phone I am really good at saying, "Hi", "Bye Bye", "Wuv You" and "Yah". The rest of the time I usually nod and smile. However, Mom and Dad say I have lots more interest in talking on the phone than Brother ever had at this same stage. Maybe a girlish thing?
This is my outfit Mom made from a ruffle off my great grandma Besta's dress. Of course, I had to have a matching purse.
When I showed up at our family function we were attending, one of my Auntie's exclaimed, "Didn't Besta have a dress like that?!?" It was fun to be wearing something that reminded everyone of such an amazing woman. Mom preserved the original stitching on the hem.
Some photos of me during my second Halloween. I did not like the scary homes. Hence, my dazed look in the first photo. However, Dada offered lots of reassurance and as long as I had has hand, I was fine. If anyone asked me anything, my response was simple, "Treat?" Speaking of treats, I had no problems eating any of the treats Mom and Dad would allow.

I've recently hit several milestones all within a short amount of time.
This past Saturday Mom put my diapers into storage, except a few for nights just in case. It's been two weeks since a potty mishap. Thus, we will say, I am officially potty trained.
On Sunday I figured out how to climb out of my crib and also started cutting my 2 year molars.
Monday was my last taste of Mom's milk. On Tuesday I asked, "milk" but since Mom had to leave early we passed and I was fine. I have not asked since.
On Wednesday I had my first eye exam and everything checked out great. No glasses for me, except for some shades I had to wear the rest of the day since I had my eyes dilated. I did great during the exam, by the way.
Today Mom turned my car seat to forward facing. She was trying to keep me rear facing until I was a full 2 years old in accordance with the AAP guidelines. However, I reached the limit on my car seat for rear facing.
Yes, lots of milestones happening in a short amount of time.
Mom found these jammies for me. They have a little bit of a Halloween theme to them but I think I'll still be wearing them as long as they fit. I love how the bones glow in the dark and I chuckle when mom points and names the bones.
Every week Mom takes Brother and me to the library for story time. I love to read. It's the first thing I do in the morning (after my mom's milk) and the last thing I do before sleep (but just before prayers and Twinkle, Twinkle song).
Mom found me sitting on her and dad's bed today reading some of Brother's library books. Yes, these are Thomas the Train books. Good Night Moon is still my most favorite, though.
I'll follow anyone with reading abilities around and ask, "Read, read...please?" Rarely am I turned down. Even Brother reads to me.
