Summer 2017

It was a great summer - camping at Warm Lake, water park, gymnastics camp, robot camp, learning to play chess, selling lemonade ($80 made and put toward gymnastics), taking walks, visiting the library, reading, and just hanging out as a family.

Piano Lessons

Mom started teaching me piano right after state gymnastics was done. I try to keep up and I'm over half way through my beginner book.

Hair Cut

A few weeks after my gymnastics meet season ended I asked Mom if I could get my hair cut. We did not want to cut it during gymnastics meet season as I need my hair in a bun and short hair is not conducive to that. After regionals where I did not complete because I was only a level 3 and one has to be level 8 or higher but we went to watch my gym buddy compete we stopped at the salon and I had 13 inches cut so I could donate to "Wigs for Kids".

Pioneer Pride Award

My award was for independence - making good choices even when no one is watching which is a lesson I learned long ago from gymnastics (working hard at the gym even when no one is watching). Mom and Dad say these are the awards they are most proud of. After a week of good report cards and Pride awards we went to Barnes and Noble to celebrate.

Gymnastics Meet Season 2016-2017

This was my first year of competitive gymnastics. I worked hard and improved my scores throughout the whole season. My goal the whole year was to win a first place medal. At the state meet in Moscow, Idaho I took first in vault and placed in nearly every event including the all around. I am so proud (and so is my family) that I worked so hard this year. I never complained about my four hour work outs 4-5 times per week. I also spent a significant amount of time raising money to pay for me fees too. (through my Sope Shoppe) One of my most special moments of the season was having my beloved first grade teacher come to the Queen of Hearts meet. I also won best vault and perfect attendance for my gym at our banquet. I am wearing my red dress which is another purchase (thanks to Auntie J) from SLC (I was laughing when my coach called me a T rex - that's a compliment but it's because of my strong run for vaulting).

Here are some of the photos and highlights:

Losing Teeth

I lost my two front teeth - fortunately after my nice photos from the Valentine's dance. Both my front teeth. Now I match my baby brother who has no teeth. The second tooth I lost in the foam pit during gymnastics. At one point later in the week we found it but as I was getting it out I dropped it and it was lost again.

Daddy Daughter Valentine's Dance

Best time ever with my Dada at this dance. I wore a dress I picked up in Salt Lake City while shopping at Nordstrom. We danced so hard and didn't stop until the music stopped. It was Dada's first school dance ever. Memories of a life time for both of us.
