Brother went with me to offer reassurance, although, he was quite concerned I might cry so he was ready to cover his ears at a moment's notice. Which he did not have to do.
If you would like to compare this check to my 18 month exam, click here.
For fun, if you would like to compare my 2 year stats to my brother's at the same age, click here.
Here are my stats:
Weight: 23lbs (10%)
Height: 33.5 inches (50%)
Head: 45 cm (5-10%)
Yes, I'm still petite.
I see a nurse practitioner as my primary care provider. She is the same one that Mom did her pediatric training with so I know I am in good hands. I was quite still and quiet as I am an excellent, experienced patient as Mom has practiced with me several times and it is not scary for me.
I did receive my Hepatitis A vaccine and did not even flinch. There was a medical assistant student working and Mom was fine allowing her to administer the vaccine. Of course, she helped and watched. Quite a good job as not a tear was shed.
Everyone was impressed with my potty training status, too. In fact, last night I woke Mom up at 2:30 am to use the facilities.
What am I doing? Oh so much. I want to do what Brother is doing. I love pretending along side and with him. We play chase and "poof" (jumping on pillows) quite often. Rough housing with Dad and Brother are so much fun. My favorite place to play at the moment is Burger King. We don't eat there except maybe some ice cream or an occasional order of fries but the play gym is huge, rarely occupied, and free! When we pull up I will exclaim and clap, "Burger King!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!!!"
My vocabulary is more quantity versus quality. I say a lot but it's not so clear or articulate. I can say just about anything and am speaking in full sentences. Although, sometimes Brother is the only one who can understand and will offer a translation. Any princess is "Bell" as in Tinker Bell. All cats are "meows".
I still eat anything and everything, even soap if Mom would let me. Milk is not my favorite but I will drink a cup of chocolate milk a day and maybe some calcium fortified orange juice. As you already know, my favorite book is "Jenny's Birthday Book" but most any book will do as I love to be read to. My favorite toys are generally those that involve my playhouse, dolls, or I can push. I love to dress up, especially if the clothes belongs to someone else.
I love to be sung to. Favorite songs are many: ABC Song, Twinkle Star, Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider. Mom also sings this song where she inserts various family member names saying they love me. That usually means it is time to sleep.
Lastly, I LOVE shoes. Mom is not a big connoisseur of shoes so we're not sure where this came from but when we go shopping I don't ask for toys I ask for shoes. Hence, my sparkly red shoes in the photo.
Overall, an excellent report and I continue to grow and develop normally and be healthy and happy. All of which, we are most grateful.
